About the Role
We are seeking a Unity 2D Developer with a strong passion for crafting engaging and polished 2D games. The ideal candidate has a solid grasp of Unity’s 2D toolset, game logic, and performance optimization, and is able to collaborate effectively with artists, designers, and producers to bring creative ideas to life.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain 2D gameplay mechanics, UI systems, and interactive features using Unity (C#).
Collaborate with the art and design teams to integrate 2D assets, animations, and visual effects seamlessly into the game.
Ensure smooth and optimized performance across mobile and desktop platforms.
Implement game physics, input systems, camera control, and UI navigation.
Debug, profile, and optimize performance and memory usage.
Contribute to level design tools, animation controllers, and editor extensions to improve workflow efficiency.
Use version control systems (e.g., Git, Plastic SCM) for collaborative development.
Stay current with new Unity 2D features, trends, and tools in the game industry.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
1–3 years of experience developing games or interactive content in Unity 2D.
Proficient in C# programming and object-oriented principles.
Strong understanding of Unity 2D tools (Tilemaps, Sprite Atlas, Animator, Particle System).
Experience with mobile game development (iOS/Android).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a creative, multidisciplinary team.
Preferred:
Experience developing educational or narrative-based 2D games.
Familiarity with game design patterns and scriptable object architecture.
Knowledge of monetization systems, in-app purchases, or ads integration.
Experience publishing games to Google Play Store or App Store.
Interest in AR/VR/XR or interactive learning platforms.
